A tribute to Shamsh Raza, our student, friend and a colleague

The late Shamsh Raza was born of Indian parent. He was a very brilliant student and successfully went through his Bachelors in India and Masters in Budapest Business School.

The late Shamsh Raza continued his education exploits by gaining admission in 2019 to pursue PhD in Management and Business Administration at Szent Istvan University.

Shamsh was a vibrant twenty-nine-year-old gentleman, always smartly dressed and easily approachable for any assistance. He was a man of few words, hardworking, always ready to contribute in class, very respectful, kind and smiles to anyone that came his way.

On August 24, 2020, there was an unbelievable news on Facebook precisely, Hungary EXPATS that Shamsh Raza was missing. He left his apartment (Budapest) in the morning and had not returned. All efforts to reach him proved futile.  We all panicked and prayed fervently that he would return safely but alas that was not the case.

On Thursday, August 27th, we got the shocking and confusing news of his passing away to eternity as confirmed by the Police. Shamsh’s death was sudden and unexpected. We were all hopeful of continuing our PhD journey to a successful completion (PhD in Management and Business Administration 2019-year class), little did we know that death would lay its icy hands on him so soon.

His supervisors, friends, colleagues and the entire Szent István University (Gödöllő Campus), are still struggling to come to terms with Shamsh’s untimely death.

SHAMSH RAZA! You will be greatly missed.

SHAMSH RAZA! May your soul rest in perfect peace.
